• serum levels of TNF-alpha and IL-6 induced by i.p. injection of mice with peptidoglycan plus D-gal are normal
• bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs) show impaired IFNgamma-triggered induction of a subset of downstream genes
• after IFN-gamma treatment, BMDMs show markedly reduced levels of secreted CXCL9 and CXCL10 relative to similarly treated wild-type cells
• after i.p. injection of L. monocytogenes (4 x 10 cfu per mouse) for 6h, mice exhibit significantly lower serum CXCL9 levels relative to similarly treated wild-type controls
