increased or absent threshold for auditory brainstem response ( J:250746 )
• hearing thresholds at 4 and 8 kHz tone burst stimuli are almost the same as in wild-type mice, however at 16, 24, and 32 kHz, mice show an elevation in hearing thresholds
• however, the auditory brainstem response wave form is not different and mice exhibit normal cochlea and normal spiral ganglion neuron density
