• males exhibit lower sucrose preference, indicating depressive-like behavior
• males exhibit lower sucrose preference, indicating depressive-like behavior
• 2-month-old mice show a greater number of slips in the beam balance test; males lose their balance more times than wild-type mice and while females show more slips, significance is not reached
• however, time spent to cross the beam is not different, indicating that loss of balance is not attributed to deficits in muscle strength
• however, both male and female mice exhibit normal gait, hippocampal-dependent spatial memory, and normal behavior in the black and white test box, social interaction test, tail suspension test, and the open field
