• following partial sciatic nerve ligation, mice do not exhibit neuropathic pain in response to mechanical stimuli unlike wild-type mice

• however, mice exhibit a similar extent of dorsal root myelin sheath splitting as in wild-type mice following partial sciatic nerve ligation
