N normal phenotype
limbs/digits/tail
N
• despite abnormal hindlimbs, forelimb morphology and development are normal
• anterior hindlimb digits are more severely reduced than posterior hindlimb digits compared to in wild-type mice with distal elements more reduced than proximal ones
• fibulas lack the peroneal process in all mice
• patellas are shorter than in wild-type mice
• 33% of mice exhibit a displaced patella
• at E11.5, hindlimbs are 7% narrower than in wild-type mice
• however, forelimb development is normal

skeleton

• patellas are shorter than in wild-type mice
• 33% of mice exhibit a displaced patella
• pelvic width is reduced compared to in wild-type mice
