phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
neoplasm
• between 7 and 12 months of age, ~30% (14/46) of mice developed malignant tumors compared to no tumors in wild-type controls up to 12 months after birth
• 3/14 tumors were hepatomas
• 6/14 tumors were lymphomas; tumors of the mesenteric lymph nodes were found in the intestine
• lymphomas were determined to be derived from T cells
• 4/14 tumors were adenocarcinomas
• 1/14 tumors was a sarcoma

hematopoietic system
• spleens of mutants with lymphomas were enlarged compared to wild-type spleens
• atypical lymphocytes were detected growing in mesenteric lymph node, kidneys, liver, and spleen

immune system
• spleens of mutants with lymphomas were enlarged compared to wild-type spleens
• atypical lymphocytes were detected growing in mesenteric lymph node, kidneys, liver, and spleen

endocrine/exocrine glands
• lymphomas were determined to be derived from T cells

growth/size/body
• spleens of mutants with lymphomas were enlarged compared to wild-type spleens
