• at 1 and 3 months of age, males weigh 10-15% less than control C57BL/6 or 129/Sv males
• Background Sensitivity: female body weight is reduced by ~10% compared to C57BL/6 controls, but is similar to 129/Sv controls

homeostasis/metabolism
• levels are 2.3- to 3.8-fold higher compared to control C57BL/6 or 129/Sv females
• levels are 3.8- to 6.7-fold higher compared to control C57BL/6 or 129/Sv females
• plasma total cholesterol levels in 4-month old males are 49% lower than in control C57BL/6 and 25% lower than in control 129/Sv males
• mice show 74-95% decrease in NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase protein compared to wild-type; largest reductions are seen in female brain at all ages and in male and female lungs at 90 days of age
• mice show decreased ability to clear pentobarbital

reproductive system
• females are inferile, as shown by breeding of female homozygotes with wild-type males; only 4/9 females showed sperm plugs and produced no pups
• in another experiment, 5/12 females showed sperm plugs, with only 3 females becoming pregnant and producing a total of 8 pups

liver/biliary system
• mild centrolobular lipidosis is detected in some homozygotes between 2-4 months of age

renal/urinary system
• kidney weight in males is reduced by ~30% compared to controls

cardiovascular system
• at 3 months of age, male heart weight is reduced by ~30% compared to controls
