• myocytes exhibit multiple nuclei with great variation in size, indicating hypertrophy, but do not show an accumulation of glycogen
• heart weight is increased but not as much as in Tg(Myh6-PRKAG2*R302Q)#Rro mutants
• hypertrophic cardiomyocytes
• posterior wall thickness at 2 months of age is increased and exhibit an increase in end-diastolic diameter and end-systolic diameter with decreased systolic function, however to a lesser extent than that seen in Tg(Myh6-PRKAG2*R302Q)#Rro mutants, however exhibit normal impulse conducting system conduction
• atrial premature beats and/or tachycardia are observed spontaneously or after atrial electrical stimulation in 27% (3 of 11) of mutants, however ventricular electrical stimulation does not induce ventricular arrhythmias
