• increased retention of aversion to saccharin containing water when LiCl treatment is paired with saccharin exposure (over 30 days compared to about 5 days in wild-type mice)

abnormal inhibitory postsynaptic currents ( J:113340 )
• in CA1 pyramidal cells at a holding potential of -50 mV with physiological extracellular K+ concentrations outward currents elicited by baclofen are reduced by about 60% compared to wild-type cells
• however, long term potentiation of CA3 to CA1 synapses, baclofen-induced depression of EPSC amplitudes, and the amplitude ratio of evoked EPSCs in response to paired-pulse stimulation are similar to wild-type
