• after a 24 hour fast serum glucose levels are significantly decreased compared to wild-type mice
• after a 24 hour fast serum free fatty acid levels are significantly increased compared to wild-type mice

reproductive system
• when heterozygotes are crossed to heterozygotes more than the expected percentage of heterozygous pups are found, greater than 80% compared to the expected 67%
• however, when heterozygotes are crossed to wild-type mice no significant deviation from the expected ratio of heterozygous to wild-type offspring is seen
