mortality/aging
• heterozygotes have significantly lower survival than their wild-type littermates with loss of heterozygotes beginning around 4 months, greater than 20% loss by 12 months, and about 60% loss by 2 years
neoplasm
• 9 of 14 heterozygotes developed lymphomas and 4 of these were highly disseminated
immune system
• all heterozygotes between 4 and 14 months display marked lymphoid hyperplasia
cellular
• tumors in heterozygotes contain multiple chromosomal alterations with most showing gains of the entire chromosomes 6 and 15
• heterozygous MEFs have an increased frequency of abnormal karyotypes and chromosomal breaks and impaired double strand break repair
hematopoietic system
• hematopoiesis in the bone marrow is abnormal
• all heterozygotes between 4 and 14 months display marked lymphoid hyperplasia
