• Although an orthologous mutation in human causes a dominant peripheral axonal neuropathy, mice heterozygous for this allele on the C57BL/6J background displayed no abnormalities as assessed by peripheral nerve histology, body weight measurement, the inverted wire grid test for grip strength and latency to falling, and nerve conduction velocity measurements of the sciatic nerve. Expression analysis from spinal cord did not find any alteration in the expression of stress response ATF4-target genes.
