• in an appetitively motivated T-maze assay, mice are able to learn and memorize the correct arm to obtain the reward, but mice need more trials to relearn that the reward had been switched to the other arm, indicating impaired reversal learning
• in the second session of the 3-chamber test, mice show no preference for stranger 2 compared to stranger 1, indicating defective novelty preference

• in the reciprocal social interaction test, mice spend less time interacting with strangers
• in the 3-chamber test, mice show impaired novelty preference, with less obvious preference for stranger 2 versus stranger 1, however no effect on sociability is seen
• zinc supplementation ameliorates the social deficits in the reciprocal social interaction test, with mice spending significantly longer interacting with the unfamiliar mouse
• treatment with D-cycloserine, a co-agonist of NMDAR, improved social interaction in the reciprocal social interaction test to wild-type levels
• however, mice behave normally in the open field and elevated plus maze
• isolated pups exhibit shorter call duration, reduced calling frequency, and longer latency to have the first call at P6 but not P8
