• mice cannot rearrange IgH DJ segments and VDJ joints are not found in fetal livers as in wild-type and heterozygous mice
• the ratio of CD4 to CD8 T cells in the thymus is altered likely due to infection, stress or both
• lymphoid cell numbers in the thymus and spleen are decreased 3-fold compared to in wild-type mice
• B220+IgM B cells are absent
• 3% of bone marrow cells are B220+ CD43+ compared to 6% in wild-type mice
• 3% of bone marrow cells are B220+ CD43- compared to 26% in wild-type mice
