• Mutation details:

  The targeting vector was designed to insert a 97 kb (Chr7:12,185,253-12,282,003; GRCh38.p14) fragment of the human TMEM106B (transmembrane protein 106B) with protective variant haplotype rs1990622.G sequence in place of Chr6: 13,033,00613,107,770; GRCm39 of the mouse Tmem106b gene on chromosome 6. The construct included a loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette. The insertion disrupts Tmem106b transcription. The construct was electroporated into C57BL/6N-PRX-B6N embryonic stem cells (ES). The neomycin cassette was removed by transient expression of Cre. (J:101977, J:347607)
