Mutation
origin
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6J
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Modified isoform(s))
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsCRISPR/Cas-mediated targeting deleted exon 19a. The resulting allele fails to produce a germ cell-specific isoform. RT-PCR analysis using primers designed to distinguish between canonical and splice variant mRNAs confirmed the absence of the larger PCR product derived from the splice variant mRNA (which includes exon 19a) in the testes of homozygous mutant males.
