Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsPhenylalanine codon 129 (TTC) was targeted for change to alanine (GCC) (p.F129A) using an sgRNA and an ssODN template with CRISPR/Cas9 technology, resulting in an unintended 16 bp deletion (CACCTTCCCTACGGGC) that leads to a frameshift and premature stop codon (p.F129Vfs*9). The mutation protects the mice from lethal pseudorabies virus (PRV) infections in a virus-titer-dependent manner. (J:355676)
