Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Modified isoform(s))
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsCRISPR/cas9-mediated recombination using a guide RNA (5'-GGACCCCAATGTAGATCGTGNGG-3') targeting exon 3 created a 5 bp deletion that disrupts the expression of the b and c isoforms but not the shorter a isoform. Western blot analysis found absence of expression in the brain and hearts but not kidneys, which predominantly express the a isoform, from homozygous mice. (J:290039)
