Mutation details: This allele carries loxP sites flanking exons 2, 3, and 4 of the Drd2 (dopamine receptor D2) gene. The upstream loxP site was inserted into intron 1, and the downstream loxP site into intron 4, enabling Cre-mediated excision of exons 2-4 to generate a null allele. The neomycin selection cassette was removed by FLP recombination prior to colony expansion.
