Strain of Origin:  (C57BL/6NJcl x DBA/2NJcl)F2
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Not Specified)
Mutation:    Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation details:

CRISPR targeting inserted the mutation responsible for the amino acid substitution of cysteine with serine at position 142 (C142S), which ablates autoacylation of the DHHC domain and disrupts the palmitoyltransferase activity of ZDHHC19. Immunoblot analysis showed no detectable difference in the protein amount of ZDHHC19 in homozygous mutant testes. (J:366950)
