Mutation details: A TALEN specific to exon 24 introduced a G to A point mutation resulting in a glutamate to lysine substitution at amino acid 1020 (p.E1020K) a loxP-flanked neomycin resistance gene upstream of exon 24. The neomycin resistance gene was deleted via cre-mediated recombination. This is the most common gain-of-function substitution in PIK3CD in patients (p.E1021K) with activated-PI3Kdelta syndrome (immunodeficiency 14).
