Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgene insert comprises the rat Gata4 promoter (5 kb fragment containing exon 1 and upstream sequence) upstream of the red fluorescent protein cDNA. The transgene was co-injected, and co-integrated, with the Tg(Tyr)GwNpln transgene; five copies of the latter transgene integrated with two copies of the RFP transgene, replacing an 82 bp sequence (GRCm39:chr2:98497330-98497411) in predicted gene Gm10800. The transgene is expressed in testicular Sertoli cells and astrocytes and GNRH1-expressing neurons in the hypothalamus. (J:132976)
