• Mutation details: An "EMTB 3XGFP pA Neo" segment was cloned into a BAC containing the Slc1a3 gene (GLAST1). EMTB consists of the microtubule binding domain of Map7 (ensconsin) fused to GFP. Insertion in the Slc1a3 gene occurred at exon 2 (at the ATG). Integration of the transgene by homologous recombination, was followed by selection of the correctly targeted BAC clone, and removal of the neo cassette by Flpe recombination. (J:262447)
