Mutation detailsThis allele is responsive to Cre and FLP recombinases. Upon FLP recombination, cells will express mCherry. Upon Cre/FLP dual recombination, cells will express the PSAM. can be used to delineate cell types by dual expression of Cre and FLP recombinases through transgenic transmission or virus. Upon dual recombination, intersectional targeted cells will express the PSAM (Pharmacologically Selective Activator Module), a chimeric ion channel exclusively activated by a synthetic PSEM (Pharmacologically Selectively Effector Molecule) agonist. It is useful in studies on the role of any cells defined by Cre/FLP in a variety of behavioral and physiological assays with high spatial and temporal resolution. (J:94077)
