Mutation details: A beta-actin promoter and loxP-flanked TK-Neo STOP cassette followed by the Polb gene containing a leucine to proline substitution at amino acid 22 (p.L22P, CTC to CCC) were inserted into the locus. This mutation results in loss of 5-deoxyribose-5-phosphate lyase activity and inefficient base excision repair. The p.L22P variant is associated with gastric cancer in humans. This line is generated from ES clone 89.
