Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase, Reporter)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Prrx1-mTFP1,-cre/ERT2)1Etnka expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsA transgene consists of the 2.4 kb mouse Prrx1 enhancer followed by the b-globin intron and nuclear-localized teal fluorescent protein-1 (mTFP1-nls), a T2A self-cleaving peptide, and CreERT2. Six founder animals were generated and a single line with the ability to induce the recombination of LoxP reporter lines only after administration of tamoxifen was established and used for the studies.
