Coding sequence from the N terminus of Drosophila Bride of Sevenless (BOSS) (TSPTKKSAPLRITKPQPTS) was inserted in-frame with the Atoh1 coding sequence after codon 8 to enable distinguishing endogenous from transgenic gene products.
