| Notes |
This coat color mutant arose spontaneously at the F2+N1+F4+N1+F43 generation of the B6.Cg-Pbwg1/1Nga (BRC No. RBRC02903) congenic strain, showing belted-like white spots on the low back. This mutant trait is thought to be controlled by a single recessive gene on an autosomal chromosome, as it could be easily fixed by brother-sister mating using this white spotting trait as an indicator.
