Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA PGK-neomycin selection cassette flanked by loxP sites replaced exons 3 and 4 and part of exon 5. The neomycin cassette was removed via flp-mediated recombination. RT-PCR conformed the complete loss of transcript and immunofluorescent labeling of the kidney and small intestine confirmed the absence of protein. In addition, protein expression of NKRP1G, which lies in apposition to this gene, is not affected. (J:322835)
