Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn attenuated diphtheria toxin A gene and loxP-flanked neo cassette were inserted immediately downstream of the start methionine codon replacing the coding region through part of exon 9. Expression of this allele results in the ablation of intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette. (J:134780)
