• Mutation details: The transgene encodes the disease-associated P301S mutation and includes four microtubule-binding domains and one N-terminal insert (1N4R). The PSKQ (PS19KQ) mice were generated at the UNC animal core facility by incorporating a single acetylation-mimicking mutation in the tau transgene at residue K280 (K280Q).
