The loxP site flanked mouse Ace (angiotensin I converting enzyme (peptidyl-dipeptidase A) 1) promoter, cre recombinase gene, and neomycin resistance gene cassette sequence that was also inserted, was removed through Cre-mediated self-excision in the male germline.
