Mutation details: The bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) RP23-233L7 containing mouse the colony stimulating factor 2 receptor, beta2 (Csf2rb2) gene was modified to insert a Cre-FRT-Amp-FRT cassette at the start site of Csf2rb2 translation. The ampicillin (Amp) marker was deleted and the Cre-modified BAC's were confirmed, purified, and injected into C57BL/6 fertilized pronuclei. Four founders (lines 252, 267, 271, 272) were generated. The line 252 Csf2rb2-Cre line was determined to express Cre selectively supramammillary area of the hypothalamus using immunohistochemistry with the anti-Cre recombinase antibody, and used for analyses.
