Mutation detailsThe transgene was constructed using a genomic BAC clone RP23-360O22 encoding the mouse neurogenin (Neurog)2 gene by replacing the entire coding sequence in exon2 with a CreERT2 cassette. The three mouse lines that independently received the transgene integration were then assayed for the Cre recombinase activities. Through this screen, one line (G2A) was selected by the highest recombination rate in OB neurons. (J:288786)
