Mutation details: CRISPR/cas9 endonuclease-mediated genome editing was used to introduce a CAG-H2B-miRFP703 (nuclear localized) vector into the Gt(ROSA)26Sor locus with a loxP-flanked STOP cassette. The STOP cassette was removed by an in vitro cre reaction on the plasmid. miRFP703 is derived from miRFP670, which is itself derived from RpBphP1, a bacterial phytochrome photoreceptor, Rhodopseudomonas palustris. miRFP703 includes the following mutations: D16S/L17H/C20S/R22H/P43H/I47V/D106C/P127S/A155V/E179L/R184C/D201T/I202V/R208Q/E211V/S222T/I253C/Y257F/N260D/V268A/A282V/H292R/E300K/L301R/A305R/S20C/T201L/C253I.
