description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe entire coding region was replaced by a cassette containing lacZ and floxed tk-neo genes. The lacZ gene was situated immediately downstream of the translational start codon. RNAse protection assays were utilized to confirm the absence of transcript in homozygous mutant mice. Expression of beta-galactosidase was driven by the endogenous promoter. The loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassete was removed via cre-mediated recombination. (J:78982)
