Mutation details: Both coding exons were replaced with a lacZ gene and loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette. The neo cassette was removed by subsequent Cre-mediated recombination. The resulting homozygous mutant mice lacked expression of both the encoded mRNA and protein in liver.
