Mutation details: The targeting construct is designed to insert a point mutation in exon 12, and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance (neo) cassette downstream of exon 12. The point mutation at amino acid 507 results in an alanine change to a stop codon. Flp-mediated recombination removed the FRT-flanked neo cassette.
