• Mutation details: In ES cells carrying Etl4^tm3Gos, a C-terminal GFP was fused in frame in place of the stop codon in exon 21 and a floxed pgk-neo cassette was inserted in intron 20 via homologous recombination. Cre-mediated recombination deleted a further 273 kb region including exons 6-20 in addition to the 595 kb region that had been deleted in Etl4^tm3Gos. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of both full length and any truncated form of the protein in homozygous mice. (J:229383)
