description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Conditional ready, Dominant negative, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(CAG-Ppard*E411P)#Als expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of a combined beta-actin promoter-cytomegalovirus enhancer, a STOP cassette flanked by loxP sites and the mouse Ppard cDNA with a single amino acid mutation, a substitution of proline for glutamate at residue 411 (E411P). Cre-mediated recombination can be used to remove the STOP cassette and express the mutant protein. This mutation inhibits Ppard transactivation in a dominant-negative manner. (J:233176)
