description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe parental targeting vector (KOMP Project ID CSD35155) composed of an FRT site followed by lacZ sequence and a loxP site, and neomycin under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site is inserted into intron 3 of the gene. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exons 4 and 5. A "conditional ready" (floxed) allele was created by flp recombinase expression in mice carrying the parental allele, removing lacZ and neo and first loxP site and leaving single FRT site in intron 3 and loxP flanked exons 4 and 5.
