Mapping and Phenotype information for this QTL, its variants and associated markers

J:175036

Linkage analysis was performed on a mapping population of (C57BL/6J x BALB/cByJ)F2 mice to identify genomic loci related to collateral traits. Mice were genotyped at 228 informative SNP markers (mouse genome build 37; mm9). F1 progeny were obtained from reciprocal matings of C57BL/6J and BALB/cByJ mice (C57BL/6J female X BALB/cByJ male and the reverse), then mated to produce a total of 243 F2 mice (128 males and 115 females). Eight QTL were identified using a multiple QTL model.

QTL Canq1 (Collateral number QTL 1) maps to Chromosome 7 between 62.0 - 65.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 28.7 at 134.0 Mb. The C57BL/6J allele is reported to influence collateral number at the Canq1 locus. Canq1 is reported to interact with Canq3 (see below).

QTL Canq2 (Collateral number QTL 2) maps to Chromosome 1 between 38.0 - 49.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 12.6 at 90.0 Mb. The BALB/cByJ allele is reported to influence collateral number at the Canq2 locus.

QTL Canq3 (Collateral number QTL 3) maps to Chromosome 3 between 0 - 28.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 6.6 at 18.0 Mb. The BALB/cByJ allele is reported to influence collateral number at the Canq3 locus. Canq3 is reported to interact with Canq1.

QTL Canq4 (Collateral number QTL 4) maps to Chromosome 8 between 6.0 - 24.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 5.0 at 47.0 Mb. The BALB/cByJ allele is reported to influence collateral number at the Canq4 locus.

QTL Cadq1 (Collateral diameter QTL 1) maps to Chromosome 7 between 61.0 - 66.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 17.2 at 134.0 Mb. The C57BL/6J allele is reported to influence collateral number at the Cadq1 locus.

QTL Cacq1 (Collateral conductance QTL 1) maps to Chromosome 7 between 62.0 - 66.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 30.5 at 134.0 Mb. The C57BL/6J allele is reported to influence collateral number at the Cacq1 locus.

QTL Cacq2 (Collateral conductance QTL 2) maps to Chromosome 1 between 31.0 - 81.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 6.0 at 106.0 Mb.

QTL Carq1 (Collateral remodeling QTL 1) maps to Chromosome 11 between 41.0 - 72.0 Mb with a peak LOD score of 3.5 at 93.0 Mb.
