Mutation details: A tandem dimer tdTomato (TOM) gene lacking a transcriptional stop site was inserted immediately after and in-frame with the start ATG of exon 1. The resulting transcript codes for a chimeric peptide with the Tomato reporter N-terminal and Tox C-terminal. An FRT-flanked neo cassette that was also inserted was removed by flp-mediated recombination.
