Mutation details: The targeting construct inserted into the locus a CAG promoter, floxed STOP cassette, ivermectin (IVM)-gated silencing receptor (IVMR) containing the human GLRA1 coding sequence with two amino acid substitutions (F207A and A288G), a 2A cleavage site, GFP, WPRE (the woodchuck hepatitis virus posttranscriptional regulatory element), polyadenylation sequence, and neomycin resistance cassette. This allele allows for inducible and reversible silencing neurons.
