A variety of 33 inbred strains of mice were phenotyped for stress induced immobility in a Tail Suspension Test(TST). The results of these test with the strains used is recorded in figure 1 of the reference. The variety of responses allowed for discovery of QTL regions associated with these traits. Haplotype analyses of these strains using SNPs with a significance test using A Generalized Family- Wise error rate (gFWER) was used to set -logP values in which 7 or higher was deemed significant. Standard p values were also used. Two loci reached levels of significance.

Siim1 mapped to mouse Chromosome 10 between 94.88 and 95.17 Mbs with a -log p of 8.174 and a p Value of 0.033. Siim1 mapped significantly with rs6196828. Suggested candidates are Socs2, Mrpl42, Ube2n and Nudt4.

Siim2 mapped to mouse Chromosome 9 between 103.44 and 103.74 Mbs with a -log p of 7.324 and a p Value of 0.035. Siim2 mapped significantly with rs29941513. A suggested candidate was Tmem108.

A locus on chromosome 2 (145.75 - 146.97 rs3696377) and a locus on chromosome 9 (92.18 - 92.39 Mb rs33747790) were not significant but were suggestive QTL.
