Allele Type: Targeted (Null/knockout) Mutations: Insertion, Intragenic deletion Mutation details: Two exons encoding the juxtamembrane domain and N-terminal portion of the kinase domain of Alk (exons 20 and 21, respectively) were replaced by a neomycin expression cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed loss of full-length protein in the striatum (nucleus accumbens) of homozygous mutant mice. (J:227538)
