53 BXD RI lines were used to map QTL that influence the volume of the dorsal

striatum (caudate-putamen without nucleus accumbens) Stv (striatum volume) to mouse Chromosome 6 (genomewide P < 0.05, LRS = 19.7, LOD = 4.3) (NCBI Build 36). This region corresponded to bp position 60 - 100 Mbs within which contained a number of potential candidate genes including Htra2, Tia1, Mxd1, Anxa4, Aak1, Nfu1, Nup210, Hdac11, Fbln2 and Slc25a26.
