Mice congenic between MOLF/Ei (donor) and C57BL/6J(recipient) were informative in mapping two pain QTLs to mouse Chromosomes 17 and 12. The chromosome 17 locus (Tpnr3) mapped to a congenic region in B6.MOLF17 between D17Mit245(3.0 cM) and D17Mit10(24.5 cM). The chromosome 12 locus (Nociq3) mapped to a congenic region in B6.MOLF12 between D12Mit205 (41.0 cM) and D12Mit134(59.0 cM)
