NK-mediated murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV) control in New Zealand white (NZW) and black (NZB) mice was QTL mapped using 183 (NZW X NZB)F2 (WBF2) offspring. NZW are resistant to MCMV whereas NZB are susceptible allowing for a genome wide scan and the mapping of the trait to DXMit216 on the X chromosome between 131.7 and 144.3 Mb
