• Mutation details: A cre/ERT2 fusion sequence was put under the control of Pomc regulatory elements in a transgenic construct. Microinjection of the construct resulted in the generation of founder lines which were screened by crosses to reporter mice and treating progeny with tamoxifen to induce cre recombination.
